Dark Horse Manga has announced that Cult Classic Manga Old Boy will be the next series to receive the signature deluxe edition treatment. Originally written by Gallon Tsukiya and drawn by Nobuki Minegishi, the Old Boy is repackaged in two oversized (7 x 10 inch) hardcover volumes with a new noir-inspired cover with metallic silver foil and ribbon bookmarks.
Oldboy, the winner of the 2007 EISNER Award for Best US Edition of International Materials, is a burning mystery thriller that explores revenge, memories and scars of the past. The manga was also the inspiration for the acclaimed 2003 film adaptation of Park Chang Wook.

It follows Shinichi Goto, the man who wakes up after a decade of inexplicable incarceration. Unsure of who took him prisoner or why, GoTo sets out for the answers towards a ruthless quest and vengeance. Oldboy Deluxe Edition: Book One arrives at the bookstore on January 6th, 2026, and at the comic shop on January 7th, 2026 for $69.99. Book 2 continues the suspense story and collects volumes 5-8. I approached revealing his suffering identity, just to understand that his prisoner may have lured him into a psychological trap rooted in forgotten adolescence memories. Book 2 was released on March 24th, 2026 (Bookstore) and March 25th, 2026 (Comic Shop) and costs $69.99.
