Ahead of San Diego Comic-Con 2025, Oni Press announced the return of Comic Cult of the Lamb, inspired by the hit video game with a new special issue. Arrived at the comic shop on October 29th, Cult of thelam: Sism Special #1 continues with a dark and fascinating saga that is Cult of thelam: First Poem, a breakout success with fans and critics.
Created in collaboration with game developer Massive Monster and Publisher Devolver Digital, this 48-page one-shot reunites author Alex Paknadel (The Amazing X-Men) and artist Troy Little (Rick and Morty vs. Dungeon & Dragon).
In Schism Special #1, the lamb is in crisis after losing its first and most loyal follower. While the cult numbers grow every day, the lambs struggle to guide them, stagnate their power and test the patience of those who are waiting. When hunger strikes, new competitors rise to challenge the authority of the lamb, threatening to unravel everything.
The issue features multiple cover variants, including Momoko’s full art variants of foil and Red Sketch Edition, including the unforgettable main cover by Peach Momoko (Ultimate X-Men) and the Troy Little backup.
Following the first critically acclaimed poem miniseries that expanded the game’s world with keen storytelling and unique visual talent, Schism Special promises more cult construction, dark humor, and otherworldly tensions.
