A highly popular trading card sensation, Craniacs is preparing for an exciting 2025 with the launch of Series 2 this spring. Plus, trading card fans’ favorite characters will appear in a new comic adventure that will hit the shelves of your local comic book store this fall. This is a new TV series for Kids 6-12 thanks to Titan Comics, and is developed by a talented team of Titmouse, now known for hit animations like Spider-Man.

Debuting in October 2023, Craniacs Trading Cards was brought to life by the creative minds of former Topps senior executive Ira Friedman and leading garbage kids artist Joe Simko. With stunning visuals and enchanting stories, these cards have reconciled with collectors and fans in search of exclusive inserts, including unique 1/1 sketch cards, foil cards, numbered variants, and even special “golden ticket” cards that allow original paintings from the series.

The Karak universe, where everyone has a skull for their heads, is about what happens after two planets where very different societies crash each other. When retroviral citizens meet ultra-modern fabrics in their Stone Age atmosphere, both societies are forced to understand how to coexist in this chaotic, new reality. Spoiler Alerts: They often resolve conflicts in some weird competition, known in-game as “Chrome Dome Arena.”

According to ICV2, Friedman commented on the property validation. He said, “It’s a truly confident vote for Craniacs for Titmouse, a company that has such talent and respect, to apply their special magic to the original IP.”

The new Craniacs comic book series was drawn and written by acclaimed Batman, Superman and Scooby-Doo writer Shollyfish, painted by fan favorite garbagepale kids artist Joe Simko. According to a Titan Comics press release, fans can expect “a roller coaster of high octane action, hilarious physical comedy and wild tournament attitudes, while emphasizing the importance of friendship, friendship and family.”

“We cannot jazz any more about working with the Titan Comics team on our collaboration at Craniacs,” co-creators Friedman and Simko said in a press release. “Our popular trading cards set the stage for Titan to build on the foundations of a unique and highly imaginative universe. We can’t wait to see the characters and storyline expand in exciting new directions. And as Titan is at the helm, we know that fans are taking part in wild and fantastic rides.”
