As previously announced, DC is undoubtedly continuing the summer of Superman’s celebration with this year’s free Comic Book Day offering. DC, which will be held on Saturday, May 3rd, will offer a selection of free comics featuring 2025 release plans and two new original graphic novels for early and intermediate readers.
Ahead of the annual event, DC has announced a preview page from the FCBD title.
First, DC All/Absolute Universe 2025 FCBD Special Edition #1 Publisher is using the Flipbook format again after DC success with a special one-shot that serves as the “All in” initiative and an absolute DC launch pad.
One side of the Flipbook will serve as a special “Zero” article in the upcoming Superman Unlimited ongoing series from the creative team of author Dan Slott artist Rafael Albukerque and colorist Marcelo Maiolo.
Next, behind the scenes of DC’s FCBD Flipbook, DC’s absolute universe is expanded by a creative team of Wrier Jeff Lemire, Arists Giuseppe Camuncoli and Stefano Nesi with a new story that introduces mysterious and powerful characters who work behind the scenes.
The DC All In/Absolute Universe 2025 FCBD Special Edition Flipbook will only be available on May 3rd at participating local comic shops (consumables are available last). Additional foil variant covers by Rafael Albukerque, Giuseppe Camuncoli, Stefano Nesi and Frank Martin are available for purchase for $4.99. Additionally, all DC FBCD Flipbooks are available for free reading by registering with DC Universe Infinite.
On the younger readers of things, the plan for the DC Free Comic Book 2025 includes a preview of Robjustus’ Superman’s Good Guy Gang Graphic Novel. With James Gunn’s Superman film jumping into theaters in July, it’s the perfect comic for young readers before heading to the film.
In Superman’s Good Guy Gang, 8-year-old Clark Kent is pretty super. Super Fast, Super Strong, Super Cool! However, being extremely lonely can also become very lonely. Together, they can form a club where other supers can become themselves, test their strength, grow together, and perhaps earn some good Guy Points along the way. Future books in the series include As The Good Guy Grows As As The Mr. Therific, Batman, Wonder Woman and more!
DC’s Superman’s Good Guy Gang 2025 FCBD Special Edition includes chapters from the creators behind Death and Sparkles, Rob Justus, launching DC’s early leadership initiative in conjunction with DC’s Summer of Superman.
