The Energon-related revelations in Void Rivals #10 continue to pay off in interesting ways, especially in the dynamic between the two main characters who have been working together (albeit unwillingly) since issue #1.
It also has a much stronger integration with the Transformers-related elements, and while it’s still not completely seamless (although Springer definitely feels like he fits in well with the main storyline), the debut of one of my favorite characters has made me a Transformers fan again – admittedly, this is a personal bias, especially as this particular character tends to be controversial among Transformers fans.
Either way, I continue to enjoy Void Rivals, and after a sometimes inconsistent first ten issues, it’s finally becoming a bit more coherent and Robert Kirkman seems to be slowly bringing things closer on the side of the wider Energon Universe.
