The Stranger Things teens are on a field trip to New York, and Eleven is secretly accompanying them. But the upside is never far away. An encounter with a strangely modified Demodog forces the kids to team up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to stop Baxter Stockman and a host of terrifying extradimensional beasts from running amok. . our world.
The worlds of TMNT and Stranger Things may not initially seem like the most logical of crossover series, but it didn’t take long for writer Cameron Chittock and artists to make it work without any friction. Credit goes to Fero Pe. The Turtles themselves rock their early look from the pre-animated series in the mid-’80s, with gritted teeth, wearing red bandanas and grimacing faces, rather than the friendlier, color-coded style they would soon develop. I did.
The plot itself is pretty light considering the story is just an excuse to unite the kids and the Turtles to fight a common enemy, but it’s basically two teams of brains and brawn turned into a mixed group. It’s a very well made item that can be divided. By doing so, each person will have the space to play to their strengths. Each character has their moments to shine, and unusual alliances may be formed before the story is over.
Like Alien and Predator over the years, TMNT seems able to blend in and work with just about any series. Despite initial concerns that this mashup with “Stranger Things” wouldn’t gel, there was no need to worry. After all, each group is not at home in other dimensions or outright strange things (though not intentionally), and both universes are rooted in scientists interfering with inaccessible matters. There is. If you’re a fan of both or either, this fun four-issue jaunt away from Hawkins is perfect for you. This tour takes the characters on a fast-paced, fun adventure that doesn’t overstay its welcome.
