Comic Review: Street Fighter Masters: Lily #1 (2024)

Lily and T. Hawk, members of the Thunderfoot tribe, are traveling to a sacred site for a ritual regarding the relics of their ancestors. With representatives of Shadaloo on the scene, Lily and T. Hawk find themselves facing a terrifying supernatural threat that threatens the safety of their village, and even the safety of the world itself.

I have to say that I didn’t know anything about Lily until I read this comic that appeared in Street Fighter 6, but this comic features a brave young fighter along with one or two familiar faces. does a great job of introducing the. As my regular readers know, I’m a huge fan of Street Fighter comics, and UDON has always treated the license with the utmost respect.

It’s no exception here, a fun story that shows the close bond between Lily and the more world-weary warrior, T. Hawk, not to mention her connection to her heritage.

The art lives up to the usual gorgeous standards we’ve come to expect from UDON, and the fight scenes positively pulsate with dynamic energy as always.

Even in the quieter moments, it doesn’t disappoint. I’m often surprised by how convincing these one-shots are even with no prior knowledge of the characters, and I was also pleasantly surprised by how much fun I had with Street Fighter Masters: Lily #1 .

Next up, until next year, is a one-shot featuring Elena. Elena, I know, has read just about every major Street Fighter comic by UDON over the years. But she’s still a bit of an enigma, so much like Lily, I’d love to see her step into the spotlight without having to share it.
