A star-studded panel honoring the legacy of Peanut creator Charles M. Schultz is coming to San Diego Comic-Con this month to gather the biggest names of comics and publishing. The event will highlight the upcoming releases of The Essential Peanuts, a definitive collection curated by Marc Evanier, scheduled to be released on Abrams Comic Cart this October.
Evanier will be joining the panel with praised graphic designers Chipkid, Paige Braddock (honored by Creative Director of Charles M. Schulz Creative Associates) and Alexis E. Fajardo (editor of the same studio’s editorial director of publishing & experience). The conversation will be hosted by Charles Kochman, editor-in-chief of Abrams Comicart.
Title: Essential Peanuts by Charles M. Schulz: The best cartoon strip of all time, this panel promises a thoughtful dive into Schulz’s creative genius, the cultural influences of peanuts, and the behind-the-scenes look of the unusual artwork contained in the new volume.
