Comixology Originals is publishing a new graphic novel called Major Thomás. The story continues with Thomas Munoz, who has always dreamed of crossing the stars, but as he finally takes the much-anticipated adventure, he will find himself in the midst of an intergalactic war.

Major Thomas is a debut graphic novel by author Omar Morales, featuring art by Sergu Acknya (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Mau Mora. Additionally, Major Thomas contains a preface by real-life astronaut Jose M. Hernandez. The graphic novel includes Creators Assembly, a non-profit organization made up of teachers and librarians! It also features an educator guide written by.

Check out the preview image below along with the official summary text for the new book…

Thomas Munos fell into poverty with a dream. He explored the Cosmos as an astronaut with his best friend Lisa. Thomas researches and overcomes many of his situations to become a NASA astronaut, but he continues to suffer from anxiety and fraud syndrome.

In the near future, all the launch clocks of Thomas’ dreams will count down, but even after years of elite NASA training, he is still not ready to let go of the Earth. When he gets lost in space, he gets stuck far from our solar system and gets caught up in an intergalactic war. The violent reptoid succumbs to hell to destroy the robots that Thomas and he becomes friends with in his quest to control all the resources of the Star System. Through the brutal war, Thomas’ heart focuses on cultural lessons learned from his mother and current love interests, returning to Earth, working on a rescue plan with NASA. Will Thomas survive both intergalactic battles and overcome the furious war within him?

“I created Major Thomas to inspire young brown people around the world. You can reach out to their dreams regardless of their disability or their circumstances,” says writer Omar Morales. He continued, “Major Thomas’ fictional character was inspired by real-life Latino heroes and put in a fun, sci-fi adventure story.”

Major Thomas will be available to read digitally on March 25th, 2025 from Comixology Originals.
