CD Projekt Red surprised us with a cinematic trailer for The Witcher 4 at The Game Awards, revealing Ciri as the new protagonist. Amidst the excitement, some observant fans noticed that Geralt’s adopted daughter of Rivia sounds a lot different than she used to, and not just because “it’s been a few years.” CD Projekt Red confirmed in a statement to TheGamer that Ciri has been recast. Previously voiced by Joe Wyatt, Ciara Berkeley has taken over the role.
A CD Projekt Red spokesperson told TheGamer, “Ciara Barclay has been cast as Ciri in The Witcher 4 Cinematic Reveal Trailer,” adding that Barclay would later voice Ciri in the main game. He added that “Ciara is a talented actress who has impressed us with her enthusiasm and voice acting skills, and this trailer shows how she stays true to the character and brings true life to Siri in a way that will be exciting for fans of the series.” I believe he instilled in me that.” Yes.
