This week, Kickstarter launched an artist edition of Body Bags in partnership with 12-Gauge Comic. The entire collection is oversized and consists of 200 pages of original art from the late Jason Pearson’s creator-owned series. The campaign’s stretch goals include 33 unreleased pages from 1999’s abandoned Father’s Day sequel, 14 pages from 2015’s Body Bags: Freebies online short story, pinups, and more. Masu.

“Jason Pearson was a friend of mine and an incredibly talented man,” says editor Scott Dunbier. “I wanted to do something that cemented his legacy. The format of the Artist Edition is as close as possible to the artist’s intentions on the page.”

12 Gauge Publisher Keven Gardner said, “Jason was one of my closest friends. We honor his memory by creating this wonderful showcase of his art, the art that meant the most to him.” I couldn’t think of a better way to display it than to display it.” To the world. ”

BIRMINGHAM, AL / SAN DIEGO, CA – Artist Edition founder and multiple Eisner Award-winning editor Scott Dunbier, as revealed at the inaugural International Comic-Con panel earlier this year. ‘s newly formed Act 4 Publishing has partnered with 12 leading action comics publishing companies that have been around for 20 years. – Gage Comics, a special oversized collection of 200 original art pages from the late Jason Pearson’s creator-owned series “The Body Bag”!

“Jason Pearson was a friend of mine and an incredibly talented guy,” says Scott Dunbier. “I wanted to do something that cemented his legacy. The format of the Artist Edition is as close as possible to the artist’s intentions on the page.”

None of the Body Bags: Father’s Day, Body Bags: Three the Hard Way, Body Bags one-shots, or corresponding covers have ever been sold, so we wanted to make this a complete collection. Everything is included. Stretch goals for the campaign include 33 unpublished pages from the 1999 abandoned Father’s Day sequel, 14 pages from 2015’s Body Bags: Threebies online short story, pinups, and more. Masu.

12 Gauge Publisher Keven Gardner said, “Jason was one of my closest friends. We honor his memory by creating this wonderful showcase of his art, the art that meant the most to him.” I couldn’t think of a better way to display it than to display it.” To the world. ”

Originally published by Dark Horse in 1996 and eventually reprinted in color through 12 Gauge Comics and Image Comics, Body Bag is set in the fictional city of Terminus, Georgia, and at its core… , the relationship between an estranged father and daughter among bounty hunters. Mac Delgado (Clownface) and Panda travel through a world full of bounty hunters and cold-blooded killers, always seeking their father’s approval.

Also this week, Jason Pearson’s legendary work returns to comics in a special crossover with Tim Seeley’s own Kathy Hack in the special mini-series “Huck/Slash=Body Bag.” When slasher hunters Cassie and Vlad travel to Terminus, Georgia in search of a murderer, they quickly become bounty hunters! Meanwhile, Mac “Clownface” Delgado needs to teach his daughter Panda how to body bag, and it needs to happen quickly. That means locking up buggers-in-training and teenage slashers in private schools. Yes, there will be big knives, short skirts, and name-calling. Worlds collide in 2024’s most twisted crossover, as Eisner Award nominee Tim Seeley and Stefano Caselli’s cult-favorite Body Bugs crew returns to comic shops everywhere on October 23rd. Masu.

Visit the campaign page for more information on tiers, add-ons, and special offers for those whose rewards were not met in the previous Kickstarter campaign due to Jason’s untimely death.
