Welcome to the AIPT Comics Podcast! Episode 345 is piled up in this week’s news. From debuting a wild new outfit from Marvel’s Stormbreakers to the ultimate Endgame preview, Liam Sharp Previving Spawn: The Dark Ages and even Popeye’s sailing, I’m sailing to Fairyland. Plus, we’re looking forward to delving into this week’s top comics, highlighting the standout Kapow moments and appearing on the shelves next Wednesday.

But the real highlight of the show is our interview segment. Jacob Phillips and Tate Blombar will be taking part in the event, and from Image Comic on September 3rd. It was their first collaboration and we dive into how they mixed western grit, terrifying tension, raw emotional drama into the story of No. 5, already called us the last. From undead metaphors to freedom of variant covers and image comics, this is a conversation you don’t want to miss.

You can find it on streaming the AIPT comic podcasts below or on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, or where you can get the podcasts.

The Best Book of the Week of the AIPT Comics Podcast:

Dave:

Amazing Spider-Man #11 (Various) Ultrawild: A Bold Plan to Re-raising Every City on Earth (Steve Mushin)

Chris:

Blood Honey #1 (Shawn Peacock) Texal Canum #2 (Christopher Monfett, Miguel Martos)

This week’s outstanding Kapou moment:

Chris: Blood Honey #1 (Shawn Peacock)

Dave: The Cruel Universe 2 #2 (Riley Rossmo, David Wielgosz)

Judging by the cover segment, Dave loves Peter Woods’ Eddie Brock: Carnage #8 Cover, Chris can’t get over David Mac’s Power 25 #1 Cover. Check both below!
