Black Panther crosses space into an explosive new Marvel era after Hickman’s “Imperial” #4 •aipt

The universe side of Marvel space is undergoing earthquake change thanks to Imperial, the fourth event series of Jonathan Hickman, Ivan Coero and Federico Vicentini. That Saga sets the stage for an ambitious new wave of space setting stories, including the planet She Hulk, Nova: Centurion and now the newly announced Black Panther: Intergalactic.

Released in December this year, Black Panther: Intergalactic is a limited series of four volumes written by Victor Lavalle (Wolverine: Sabretooth War) and is an art and art by Rising Star Stefano Nesi (Gwenpool). Rotating Directly from Hickman’s Imperial War: A Black Panther one-shot, the series discovers that after being framed for a galaxy-shaking assassination, he has cleared Wakanda’s name, and discovers a larger plot that is bound to deep space. On his own, armed only at his will, T’Challa must fight for survival, but the shadow power must plot in order to seize Wakanda’s throne in his absence.

Laval promises to explore T’Challa’s resilience. “He has a real low and learned from being calm. Now he is ready to stand up. Will he become king again? Maybe something more.” Nesi said, “Assuming the adventures of Black Panther in the universe is an exciting challenge. Victor’s writing brings a powerful take on T’Challa.

Black Panther: Intergalaxy joins the first wave of post-Marvel universes, with the planet She Hulk by Stephanie Phillips and Aaron Couder, and Centurion by Nova: Jed Mackay and *Alvaro Lopez. Each title is based on the fallout from Hickman’s events, introducing a bold new direction in Marvel’s cosmic rays.

In Planet Sherk #2, Jennifer Walters tests whether both the brain and gamma-driven muscles can bring peace to Sakaar.

In Nova: Centurion #2, Richard Ryder faces Ravenous, the killer of countless Nova members.

These series mark the beginning of a radically reshaped galaxy, with Marvel declared, “Marvel Cosmos are no longer there. I’ll live a long life in Union.”
