Marvel Comics is G. Willow Wilson has announced a new, ongoing Black Cat series written by Gleb Melnikov’s Art. Picking up from this amazing Spider-Man #8-9 event in July and August, this series will give Master Thief Felicia Hardy a try to become a superhero… But is she doing it from the heart or as part of an epic heist?

The book follows two volumes of Jed Mackay and others’ 2019-21 run (which ended with the 2022 miniseries Ironcat), as well as G. Willow Wilson, the first ongoing run since the end of Ms. Marvel Run in 2019. Writing more Felicia? “Well, Black Cat is a lot of fun right now.
Melnikov adds: “After finishing the first (surprising) Spider-Man (last year), it was a bit of a pain to portray Felicia more, so when (editor) Tom Groneman asked if he was interested in working on the Black Cat series, I typed “Yes!” It’s faster than a lightning bolt.
New Black Cat #1 will be released on August 20th and will be available in a variety of Adam Hughes’ main cover (pictured above) with Jehyung Lee, Peach Momoko and Simone Di Meo. Written by Joe Kelly with John Romita Jr.’s Art, Amazing Spider-Man #8, will be released in the meantime on July 23rd, but #9 is currently unsolicited.
