The long-standing remake of The Toxic Avenger finally came out last weekend for a highly radioactive, sparkling review (beat reviews are approaching). The combination of hilariously painful violence and goofy jokes has become the perfect end to summer for the sikkos. Now, legendary comics bring you anthology of graphic novels that allow you to see the world of cinema more widely. As they are already in the store, this should spur the appetite for fans who are keen on the sequel. It’s been a long way from Marvel Studios’ Marvel Zombies animation series. Back in 2021, what should Marvel do? The spinoff series debuted an episode that introduced an alternative universe featuring zombified versions of various heroes, whilst bullying them. Four years later, the Promised Marvel Zombie series is set to premiere on September 24th on Disney+ in just a few weeks. Today, Marvel released the trailer and details. The Marvel Zombie concept first appeared in the “Crossover” arc of the Ultimate Fantastic Four #21-23. Writer Mark Miller and artist Gregland tease the first interaction between the ultimate version and the…
We’ve talked a bit about the recent fate of Archie Comics, but there’s a lot of life left in the franchise! And they’re still surged enough to cross over in the most unlikely places. Scenery scattered by zombies in the dark universe, etc. It’s only billed as the first of a series of blockbuster pop culture collaborations, with Dynamite Entertainment and Archie Comics teaming up for Archie and the military’s darkness. However, this is not the first time two publishers have become tangos. Previously, Redsonja and Vampirella meet Betty and Veronica by Amy Chu and Maria Laura Sanapo. The AOD/Archie…
At San Diego Comic-Con, Skybound and Image Comics have announced that they will work with Scott Dunbier’s Act 4 Publishing to offer Steve Ditko Artist’s Edition Amazing Spider-Man, one of the most anticipated artist editions to date. Arrived in May 2026, this groundbreaking release launches a multi-book collaboration with Marvel Comics. The oversized 15″ x 22″ collection features some of the most historic comics created by Spider-Man co-creator Steve Ditko. In addition to these classic stories, readers will be able to find dozens of splash pages, story pages, covers, and even rare, unprecedented illustrations from the early 1960s. All of…
It’s not an exaggeration to say that Thundercats comics have been a huge success from Dynamite Entertainment since bringing various one-shots and miniseries almost two years ago. To that end, Dynamite announced that Panro, the team’s brain yet physically formidable mechanic master, would insist on his own one-shot special from writer Ed Brisson and artist Dave Acosta this November. Details of the full press release below: The physical yet formidable mechanics of the brain, vehicles, and even the latest armored suits in the cartoon, Panro has long been a fan favorite of Thundercats fandom. For the first time in the…
Die and Die #1 is not all your typical zombie comics. I say this is not out of exaggeration, but adore. Unlike rough dramas fueled by the Walking Dead and the mystery underlying the revival, this is more of a character work than anything else. Living deaths are part of this, but in a sense the readers are not expecting it. Every opening of Death and Death feels more like a neo-western rather than a horror comic. Farmer Jack Chandler has her through agent, telling her daughter Daisy about how she met her husband Luke, and is able to build…
For the first time ever, the legendary Schoennen Jump Shop has crossed the Pacific Ocean and landed in Los Angeles. From September 6th to October 5th, 2025, manga fans can dive into a treasure trove of imported Japanese-only goods from some of the biggest series of weekly Schoenn Jump. The pop-up officially licensed by Shueisha will set up a shop at the Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance, California, offering fans the opportunity to show their apparel, collectibles and accessories, usually only in Japan. Among the most notable franchises are the most iconic titles of the comics, such as: one…
There’s nothing else like Ultrawild. It’s a new, oversized book packed with bold plans to revive every city on the planet again, and ridiculous, scientifically-founded inventions aimed at changing the city’s landscape. This is a more important book than ever, as it requires a very scary and very serious global problem of global warming and reduces it to solution-based learning. Is Steve Mushin’s idea outrageous and above? Yes, but as this book proves, thinking big may be the only way to save humanity from environmental disasters. Ultrawild is a very book for everyone, but its lightness feels like it’s for…
On August 23rd, we sadly lost Dave Taylor to prostate cancer. Among readers of North American comics, a British artist, he is probably best known for his Batman work, paired with Alan Grant for the run of Shadow of the Bat, and with Chip Kid for Death by Design Graphic Novel. His early career resided in works like Marvel British work like Jean Dog with John Freeman and his work for the rebellion of Judge Dread Megazine. Perhaps one of the brightest, shining gems in his catalogue is the Moebius-inspired tongue*Lash (and its sequel) with Jean-Marc and Randy Lofficier. His…
It’s no surprise that Jason Aaron and Juan Ferreya are squeezing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The semi-shell heroes had previously been separated, but even when they returned together they had to deal with the lingering resentment, a kangaroo court built by the city of Hale of the Hieronyms, a city that permeated the enemy. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #11 finally provides light at the end of the tunnel and breathes fresh air. Again, Aaron switches his perspective and this time it becomes Hale. With a big twist, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #11 starts with something we’ve never seen before.…
