During a government inquiry into AI deployment in Australia, Meta’s global privacy director Melinda Claybaugh was asked if the company was collecting Australians’ data to train its generative AI technology. According to ABC News, Claybaugh initially denied the allegations, but when pressed, she eventually admitted that Meta scrapes all photos and text from Facebook and Instagram posts going back to 2007, unless the user has set the post to private. Additionally, the company also acknowledged that it does not offer Australian users the same opt-out option as its EU users.Claybaugh said Meta does not scrape the accounts of users under…

DC vs. Vampires: World War V #1 was packed with original twists and turns, reminding readers of the crazy twists and turns of series 1. The series is off to a strong start, with Damian Wayne being the driving force behind the collapse of global peace between humans and vampires, and the story is heating up in this week’s second issue. As for the second issue, DC vs. Vampires: World War V #2 does a lot of globe-hopping to advance subplots. By my count, there are five scenes with different groups of characters, and each plot moves forward nicely. Because of…
Green Lantern #15 continues the momentum established in previous issues, especially if you’ve read Absolute Power #3 beforehand. Writer Jeremy Adams and artist Fernando Pasarin take readers deeper into Hal Jordan and Wally West’s ongoing mission, providing a key moment of hope for our heroes. However, this issue doesn’t just focus on them; it also looks at Alan Scott, Carol Ferris, and other key characters across the DC Universe. Featuring a variety of guest stars, the series continues to build excitement. But the big question remains: how much trouble will Hal Jordan cause Amanda Waller’s reign in Absolute Power? Let’s…
Batman & Robin #13 brings Joshua Williamson and Juan Ferreira’s Dinosaur Island arc to a close, and concludes Williamson’s writing of the book overall. In response to the cliffhanger from the previous issue, the muscle-bound Robin is not the focus here. Robin is rather a classic action vehicle that Juan Ferreira captures beautifully, especially with the way he lights it. Nobody has ever painted the island more captivatingly. His watercolors are perfect for the tropical location, and his dynamic action is only matched by the depiction of real emotion on the characters’ faces. One particular panel in which Bruce looks…

The first-person shooter game “Doom” has been ported to so many different consoles and computers that modders have had to find new places to port the game to, like autonomous lawnmowers, digestive bacteria, and even Doom II itself. Not as popular or as playable as the other ports, the Sega Saturn port came out nearly four years after the game’s release. Jeff Gerstmann of Gamespot called the Sega Saturn version of Doom a game that had just about everything that could reasonably be called a bad game: “completely worthless,” “uninteresting,” “jerky,” and “to be avoided at all costs.”Bo, a self-described Sega…
