Hello everyone,I just wanted to let you all know that after much consideration I have made the difficult decision to leave OpenAl.My six and a half years on the OpenAl team have been a special privilege for me, and while there are many people I will be thanking in the coming days, I would like to begin by thanking Sam and Greg for their trust in me to lead the technical organization and their support over the years. There’s never an ideal time to walk away from something you love, but now feels like the time. Our recent releases of speech…

It is a story based on the actual historical practice of using spiritualism to dispel our mental health demons. Here’s the premise: 1865. Meta has announced an interesting tool that uses AI to automatically dub Reels into other languages with lip syncing. The feature was unveiled at the annual Meta Connect livestream event and introduced by CEO Mark Zuckerberg.Zuckerberg showed it off during his keynote, and everything seemed to work perfectly: Meta says that the tech can not only translate content, but also “simulate the speaker’s voice in another language and lip-sync it to match.” It’s worth noting, though, that this doesn’t seem to have been a live demo, but it was still pretty impressive. As for the rollout, the company said the feature…

“Nothing ever ends.”Those are Dr. Manhattan’s final words in Watchmen. They’ve stayed with me since I read the comic as a teenager, and were recently brought to the forefront in the series finale, Outsiders #11. This has become commonplace in mainstream comics, especially when it comes to DC and Marvel stories, where writers find a way to continue a character’s story in some way.At its finest, The Outsiders veers into metafiction. In the final issue, Jakita Wagner fires a “bullet” at the heart of creation, shattering it and killing everything that has ever existed. But the Authority’s sentient vessel, the…
“You’re selfish. You’ve always been selfish! You’re a time bomb!”In the final issue of Power Girl, Paige travels to Asgard, where she realizes that the man she was dating in the previous issue is basically the Indiana Jones of Asgard. A vision through one of his relics leads her to find her roommate Lilith Clay alone and in distress. This issue is Omen’s solo adventure detailing how Paige got to the moment she saw it, finally giving us a much-needed glimpse into the tortured mind of Power Girl’s quirky girl best friend. It’s a bit tedious, but it doesn’t disappoint. The…
