Courtesy of Oni Press, AIPT is pleased to share a preview of How Could You, a new queer coming-of-age story that will be released on December 17th. This humorous graphic novel by Len Strapp spotlights four college seniors who make morally gray decisions regarding the relationships in their lives: friends, lovers, exes, and roommates.”Every year in college, you discover new forms of heartbreak,” says Len Strap. “You’re in your junior year, your girlfriend leaves you, and your best friend is graduating at the end of the year. You’re torn between moving on and hoping things don’t change.” You are in…
Last month, Sonos debuted its latest premium soundbar in the midst of a difficult year. The company initially delayed the launch of the $999 Arc Ultra to spend time fixing serious issues that had plagued the app since a failed update in the spring. With the introduction of soundbars, Sonos introduced its first product with Sound Motion technology, which improves bass performance from small components. This new transducer allowed the company to make other improvements to the Arc Ultra over the original Arc, so it goes beyond just improved low-end tone. So what exactly is Sound Motion, and is it…
A 1993 comic written by Star Trek’s Walter Koenig? When I saw this comic advertised in one of the many Malibu comics I’ve been picking up and reading lately, I was very interested. I was intrigued. And considering how cheap and widely available these comics are right now (the benefit of waiting until the market crashes is that it’ll be another few decades before people really lose interest), it’s hard to get your hands on one. was neither expensive nor difficult. I’ve actually been really impressed with Malibu’s work, which I’ve been catching up on recently, so I was really…

DC Comics has revealed that Absolute Batman #1 is the best-selling comic of 2024. Absolute Batman sold just under 400,000 copies as a periodical sold through the direct market across all print runs. For context, IDW revealed earlier this year that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 had sold over 300,000 copies.Considering the names of the authors of this issue, Scott Snyder, Nick Dragotta, Frank Martin, and Clayton Cowles, there is no doubt that it would have sold as many copies as it did. However, the number of comics with a solid 400,000 copies is high, and “Transformers” #1, the best-selling comic…

“Nano Jams” is a collection of short stories that embodies Neo-Tokyo, the setting of Dave Cook’s cyberpunk comic series “Kiltopia.” Featuring more than 30 stories from 50 contributors, this anthology is especially relevant in our time, when our time approaches dystopia, which is emphasized with every new headline.Described as the “Black Mirror of comic books,” it lives up to its title, if not for its length, then just for the diversity of ideas involved. The structure of the book begins with a story that many people can relate to: an office worker disillusioned with his daily life and wearing an…
Cullen Bunn and Christopher’s dark fantasy The Autumn Kingdom lays the groundwork for its story in its first two issues without stumbling over too much exposition, meandering establishing scenes, or stagnant introductions. He pulled off some pretty exciting and effective tricks. Goblin age-specific storytelling. They were finely tuned issues, impressively paced and endearing. The book’s main narrative trick, superimposing a bloody fairy tale over the story of preteen sisters on the worst vacation ever, is also its most problematic storytelling stumbling block. The dual narrative struggles to find balance, and one has to assume that consistency will only be established in…
