Game Developer reports that EA has just open sourced 23 accessibility patents. This means other developers across the industry can use this technology for free. The news comes after EA pledged in 2021 not to sue rival companies for plagiarizing these types of tools.Third parties can now openly use a number of patented technologies to improve user accessibility. Marvel Comics has revealed that Loki and Spider-Gwen will team up in Spider-Gwen: The Ghost-Spider #11. Meta is expanding its functionality to help users avoid “Facebook Jail.” Earlier this year, the company began allowing Facebook creators to take in-app “educational training” for first-time rule violations to avoid account strikes. Now, the company is expanding this feature to all Facebook users and opening it up to Instagram creators as well.As Engadget pointed out in August, the idea for this feature is like going to traffic school. Microsoft is giving a preview of one of the experimental AI features it previewed in October. Copilot Vision, which scans your web browsing and chats about it, can be tested at Copilot Labs.The co-pilot’s vision is severely limited, at least initially.
