Ultraman x Avengers #3 wastes no time getting into the main conflict between the Ultra Guards and the Avengers fighting to stop Galactus from eating the Earth. But the World Devourer isn’t the only threat our heroes have to face. Hordes of monsters roam around Tokyo, putting civilians in danger. This led the creative team of Kyle Higgins, Matt Groom, Francesco Mana, Matt Milla, and Ariana Maher to take a unique approach by splitting the team and dedicating a section to each individual’s accomplishments. It’s an approach that prevents this manga from being just a long battle scene. Each hero has…
After reading Green Lantern Dark #1, there didn’t seem to be much room for a follow-up. This epic double-sized issue featured a fairly self-contained story that could have been left open-ended. Before this issue arose, I felt strongly that that was the way it was supposed to be. The very act of following up felt redundant and surprisingly limiting. Luckily, DC doesn’t make decisions based on my thoughts.Tate Brombal, Werther dell’Edera, Giovanna Nyro, and Tom Napolitano have teamed up to create another great issue. Last issue introduced us to the hell Grundy has brought to this not-so-pleasant world, and next…

After their first encounter with a mysterious organization known as Inferno, the League is sidetracked as they send a more focused strike team of heroes to investigate a parademon infestation in Costa Rica. The disappearance of Jamie Reyes reveals that an alien species is stealing children under the orders of a familiar but unique enemy. Meanwhile, atoms worked to solve the power swapping problem,…
Tensions continue to rise as attacks on Greymalkin intensify. Things couldn’t have been worse in the first X-Men crossover during the “From the Ashes” era. When both teams stormed Greymalkin Prison, which was previously their home, to free their friends, things went from bad to worse as they started fighting each other instead. While the mysteries behind Prisoner In this issue, writer Jed McKay collaborates with a number of artists. But is it worth it?Provided by Marvel ComicsThe story continues from the pages of Uncanny X-Men, and here the focus is on one big battle. Most of the issues revolve…
If you’ve ever played around with the term refrigerator magnet in the past, Ransom Note will instantly bring you back to nostalgia. It also has what I think is the most important trait in a party game. It doesn’t require any complicated rules, setup, or explanations. Each round begins with an open-ended question card, such as “Describe a scary medical condition.” Players take some magnetic word tiles and arrange them into (usually slightly nonsensical) answers to that round’s prompts. Each “ransom note” can be as elaborate (or as elaborate) as you want. You may have the perfect set of words…

Who are the freshwater killers? What do they want? And what does it have to do with Oliver Queen’s past? These were all questions I was left with after a fantastic first issue when writer Chris Condon and artist Montos began their story with The Emerald Archer last month. Senator Foley’s death not only gives Ollie a new friend, but also gives him his first lead role in this mystery.Detective Benitez and Ollie are a very interesting pairing. Ollie’s…time around the sun is shown here and there, but his experience as a crime fighter seems to help her fill in…
Android smartphones have been the first to introduce a number of notable standards. They were the first to support 4G, 5G, USB-C (back in 2015), and an in-screen fingerprint sensor. And when it comes to wireless charging, its lineage can be traced back to 2012’s Samsung Galaxy S3 (though the Palm Pre with webOS and its Touchstone charger are the true originals). Unfortunately, it feels like Android smartphone makers are sticking to outdated patch notes when it comes to adding support for the Qi2 wireless charging standard to their devices in 2024.The Qi2 standard was officially announced during CES in…
The Russian government has banned cryptocurrency mining in 10 regions for six years, the state-run TASS news agency reported. Russia cited the industry’s high electricity consumption rate as the main reason for the ban. Mining operations already account for about 2.5% of U.S. energy use, and cryptocurrencies are particularly electricity-intensive.The ban will go into effect on January 1 and last until March 15, 2031. The country’s Council of Ministers has also said additional bans may be needed in other regions during peak energy demand. It could also go in the opposite direction. The ban could be temporarily lifted or modified…
