People, nostalgia is trap. That’s not that I haven’t fallen before – like the rats of one of those “Flip-N-Slides.” Rather, I tried to be sharp and aware of what it meant (and what I was missing, perhaps overcompensating). That perception is a big part of why I really liked last year’s biker mouse in the Mars Three-Issue Limited series. In that story, writer Melissa Flores and artist Francis Portella gave us exactly what we wanted. A great flood of memories (as happening at once, like a million Saturday morning cartoon sessions) is working to make the biker mouse itself a newer…

Superior Avengers incorporates proven concepts (heroes as supervillains) and adds all kinds of layers. This is clear in Superior Avengers #3, which we went out this week, as it’s revealed that these characters dislike Doctor Doom’s courage. Even his children, who are team leaders, do not love their dear old dad. They are still villains and willing to kill them, but at least Doctor Doom sees them as enemies. It looks to fight the Avengers in today’s issue. Superior Avengers #3 begins with Killmonger dressing after rolling hay with Dr. Doom’s son Christophe Bernard. Kirstoff focuses on maintaining team unity,…

The biggest surprise of Power Rangers Prime is the arrival of VR troopers, except for the way the Power Rangers overturn all the Power Rangers they expect from the franchise. Since Marv Wolfman and George Pérez destroyed the DC multiverse in the 1985 event comic, the Infinite Earth Crisis, DC continuity has not been defined very clearly in the next 40 years. The event, which was supposed to streamline everything about DC Canon to one Earth, instead erod its foundations in ways that are still recovering. The reboot itself was at best a coincidence, as the post-crisis DC Universe was never carefully mapped at an editorial level before moving forward with the story. After the crisis, the unpopular litcon was made, then later rewinded, and the litcon that should have happened…

The pair looks as heavy as the topic as the second arc, “Crimson Sand,” as Chris Condon and Montos, are under their belts. Their first arc reflected disenfranchising people by offering false promises of a better tomorrow than corrupt companies would never come, but this arc is an analysis of the pharmaceutical industry’s connection to its addiction. I recently spoke to Chris Condon about this arc – don’t miss it!So everyone saw the cover, they read the solicitation, so the fiery question is, what happened to Roy Harper? ! Well, I think you have to read and find out. But…

Michael Holt’s life has changed in many ways as the creative team led by author Al Letson tackles Mr. Turiffy’s current and past adventures. The pleasure of this miniseries is revisiting his early days, when his life changed so much after losing his wife, Paula and the unborn baby. Letson didn’t let Holt have it easily, as he saw more losses in Holt’s life, as evidenced by the previous issue of Cliffhanger Ending. Edwin Garmon opens up the current problem and hands it over to Valentine de Landro and Marissa Lucy. DC Now, the opening by Letson and Garmont does…
