Oni Press and Spectrevision are partnering for the latest issue 5 series, High Strangeness, a five-part comic book series inspired by “a direct explanation of true paranormal encounters in the dimly lit borderlands of human experience.” Daniel Noah is the co-founder of Spectrevision, the production company behind films like Mandy, and goes home alone at night. A star-studded panel honoring the legacy of Peanut creator Charles M. Schultz is coming to San Diego Comic-Con this month to gather the biggest names of comics and publishing. The event will highlight the upcoming releases of The Essential Peanuts, a definitive collection curated by Marc Evanier, scheduled to be released on Abrams Comic Cart this October. Marvel Comics is pulling the curtain back to the next major era. During the Apocalypse, a bold new future known as Doug Ramsey as the heir to the Apocalypse, formed the Marvel universe of his image. On July 10th, Webtoon announced a major change in its North American entertainment business, officially rebranding Wattpad Webtoon Studios as Wettoon Productions. The move comes with a new name, fresh logo and an updated leadership structure aimed at expanding global IP and production efforts. David Madden has been promoted to President of Webtoon Productions, with Maximilian Jo intervening as vice president and head of strategy for the company’s global IP business team.
