SDCC Coverage sponsored by Mad Cave Bloodborne is a cult favorite cosplay horror from software games to cults, and is familiar to the comics realm. Over the past decade, Titan Comics has released various comics taking place in the gaming world, exploring further the strange and terrifying world of Yharnam and monsters that live there. Readers can explore the world of Bloodborne further with the brand new deluxe edition of the bestselling comic The Death of Sleep: Deluxe Edition. Brain writer Ales Cott (Bucky Burns: Winter Soldier) and fan favorite horror artist Piotr Kowalski (Monster Lies) offer an…
In this work, we intend to keep our eyes and ears open permanently. But then, sometimes something really special falls on your lap (like a secret gift from the universe, or find $5 in a pair of old jeans). That’s the case of the Trumpet of Death, the debut graphic novel of French cartoonist Simon Bornel Bosson. On the Death Trumpet, he meets Antoine, a boy who is dropped off in his grandparents’ rustic shed while his father is searching for his missing mother. Upon reaching home, Antoine must compete with both warmth and love. But one day, while foraging…
Following the success of Fantastic Four: Full Circle, Abrams Comicarts is set to continue the Marvelarts line with a bold new entry. Avengers In The Veracacity Trap, an original graphic novel written by Michael Cho’s Art With Art. Today, AIPT is excited to debut an exclusive look at Cho’s behind the scenes process featuring early thumbnails, pencils and ink, making it a visually stunning tribute to classic Marvel storytelling. In the Trap of Truth, the Avengers face off against Loki in what begins as a classic clash of good and evil, but soon twists into something much more strange. When…
Welcome, X-Fans, to another uncanny edition of X-Men Monday at AIPT! Murder! Coups! Intergalactic intrigue! If you’re not reading writer Jonathan Hickman and artists Iban Coello and Federico Vicentini’s four-part Imperial event series, you’re missing out on the fun. And, if you’re an X-Fan (which, of course, you are), you’re missing the lead-in to Imperial War: Exiles (on sale September 3, 2025) — a tie-in comic starring disgraced Earthling Charles Xavier, his recently resurrected wife Lilandra Neramani, and their daughter — and Shi’ar Majestrix — Xandra. Joining Jonathan Hickman on Imperial War: Exiles is co-writer Steve Foxe, who has returned…
By Sean Manning Ignition Press, a new publisher founded by industry veterans Philip Sabrik and Jamie S. Rich, has made a ecting presence at San Diego Comic-Con to promote the launch title that will arrive in September. Rather than a booth, the Ignition painted offsite gallery to staff, offering free coffee to everyone, and promoting free tickets to the burlesque show and the release titles Voiyur, which he purchased products and comics. It would probably be fitting that the first ever SDCC panel was titled “Make the Manga Different.” However, according to Sablik, Rich and the creators of Panel, anything…
SDCC Coverage sponsored by Mad Cave On Saturday at San Diego Comics-CON 2025, the “Jim Lee & Friends” panel will discuss Lee’s lack of guests announced on this panel, as he is surprised. Last year, Todd McFarlane and Greg Capro appeared to have announced Batman Spawn, while Scott Snyder and Joshua Williamson announced all-in. This year, Lee thanked his fans (DC Comics SVP and General Manager) and public relations officer Kelly Williams. He screams out his daughter and her new husband into the audience, then brings in his first guest, writer Tom King, daughter of Wonder Woman and…
At San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend, fans first saw an impressive new cover of Fiona Staples from Saga Book Four, the latest award-winning hardcover version by Brian K. Vaughn and Fiona Staples. This much-anticipated collection will arrive at the comic shop on April 15th, 2026, and from Image Comics on April 28th. The cover captures the rebellious energy of teenage protagonist Hazel, and navigates puberty in the middle of a now-ending interplanetary war. “For over a decade, readers have seen Hazel grow in real time,” Vaughn said. “Fiona’s latest cover perfectly reflects our culturally torn adolescent heroine. This volume…
J. Michael Strakinski’s return to Marvel Comics saw him write six one-shots featuring some of the most unique combinations in the Idea House. He organized Ghost Rider against Galactus, Nick Fury with Fin Fang Foom, and even Rocket Raccoon and Doctor Doom. Most of these pairings work not only because they are unexpected, but also how you use Straczynski’s gifts for character work. Along with Spider-Man vs. The Sinister Sixteen, Straczynski takes things to a new level. Peter Parker dates Mary Jane Watson to a respected French restaurant thanks to an unusual stroke of luck (and clever manipulation on his…
The first issue of Fallout’s news was a compelling read due to its unforgettable imagery and unique views on the horrors of the atomic age. It had everything in a great comic series, but one question deep inside me is, can future issues meet the criteria it set? I’m happy to be able to report that the news from Fallout #2 is as good as its predecessor. This time, Chris Condon and Jeffrey Alan Love took a different approach and introduced what happened after their escape from the nuclear monster and then a private fallow land entered the diner. But…
DC X Sonic The Hedgehog was a huge joy to read mainly how Team Sonic and Justice League interact with each other’s worlds (and because the DC-inspired makeover was received by Sonic and his friends), but all the good things have to come to an end. The biggest part of this issue is especially seeing both teams reunite first. Whether Silver and John Stewart are discussing the Green Lantern Corps, and whether Gargardner is at best a taste that they acquired, or whether Batman and Shadow are doing their best to do their best, Ian Flynn writes these meetups in…
