ASUS has equipped the NUC 14 Pro Mini PC with a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) capable of achieving 48 trillion operations per second (TOPS). The new model, the ASUS NUC Pro AI, comes with up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 288V processor. With a height of just 1.3 inches, this mini PC can be carried anywhere and won’t get in the way. Most of the features, including ports and internals, are similar to the previous model.
To prevent overheating, ASUS has installed some advanced thermal management solutions that meet EPEAT Climate+ energy efficiency requirements. Other features include Secure Boot, a built-in speaker, and a microphone for voice commands. For added security, there’s also a fingerprint reader and a Trusted Platform Module (TPM), the latter of which is designed to further protect your PC using encryption. Upgrading the ASUS NUC 14 Pro AI requires no tools, and the mini PC can be controlled through the ASUS Control Center.
This mini PC may be useful, but you probably won’t be running AAA games at high settings. Luckily, ASUS has a few gaming-capable NUC PCs.
As of now, there is no release date announced for the ASUS NUC 14 Pro AI, but it comes less than a year after the first ASUS-made NUC was announced at CES 2024.
