Apple’s 13-inch M2 iPad Air re-released for $720

It’s not too late to give the bright students in your life some back-to-school gifts that will help them study. An iPad is great for taking notes, writing papers (especially with an attached keyboard), doing research, and of course, streaming that new TV show you’ve been binge-watching during class.

If you’re behind on back-to-school gifts or just looking to treat yourself to one of Apple’s iPads, you might be happy to know that the iPad Air is currently on sale. The 13-inch M2 iPad Air with 128GB of storage comes in three colors — purple, space gray, and starlight — and is priced at $720. That’s a discount of $79, making it nearly the lowest price ever. To receive the full discount, be sure to clip the Amazon coupon before proceeding to checkout.

The 11-inch M2 iPad Air is also on sale, costing $50 off at $549 in space gray, starlight, and blue.

The latest version of the iPad Air is our pick for the best iPad for most people. Sure, it’s more expensive than the base iPad, but it’s also a lot more powerful. Aside from screen real estate, the main difference between the two iPad Air sizes is that the 13-inch model has a brighter display (600 nits vs. 500 nits). The fully laminated display is an improvement over the previous iPad Air, but with a 60Hz refresh rate, it doesn’t look as smooth as the iPad Pro’s 120Hz OLED panel.

Thanks to the M2 chipset and 8GB of RAM, it handles basic tasks like web browsing and video streaming with ease, but the hardware can also handle more demanding tasks and run high-end games like Death Stranding and the remake of Resident Evil 4. The tablet is also compatible with Apple Intelligence, a suite of AI tools that Apple will start rolling out in October.

On top of that, the M2 iPad Air can run for up to 10 hours on a single charge, it has a USB-C port for charging and peripherals, and it has a Touch ID fingerprint scanner built into the power button.
