Apple has introduced several new tools to the Apple Business Connect program that may be useful to everyday consumers. The most notable update is the introduction of Business Caller ID. When this feature rolls out next year, businesses of all sizes will be able to register to display their name, logo, and department when contacting customers. In practice, this helps distinguish between calls from legitimate companies and spam.
Apple Business Connect gives businesses more control over how they appear within different apps across the Apple ecosystem. In 2023, Apple gave businesses customization of Maps, Messages, Siri, and Wallet lists. Today’s update makes Business Connect branding tools available to all businesses, even those without a physical storefront. In addition to the eventual rollout of Business Caller ID, the program will also add branding information within the Email and Phone apps. Participating businesses can also add their logo to the contactless Tap to Pay feature.
