DC Comics has announced the title of the next event, the first of its kind in the DC All-In Initiative, “We Are Yesterday.” Mark Waid will headline the Batman/Superman: World’s Finest, Justice League Unlimited, and Batman/Superman: World’s Finest 2025 Annual events.
The event begins on April 16th with Gorilla Grodd taking center stage as “We Are Yesterday” begins in Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #38.
Man of Steel and The Dark Knight will likely struggle no less than the superpowers of DC’s evil ape, but this time it’s as if Grodd has knowledge of the future. Something is different. And we still don’t know what this has to do with Darkseid’s death!
In addition to the first of three interlocking main covers by artist Dan Mora, Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #38 includes variant covers by Gavin Guidry, Adrian Gutierrez, and Elizabeth Torque. cover, as well as an April Fool’s Day variant cover by Brandt & Stein.
Part 2 unfolds in Justice League Unlimited #6, where the Inferno Cult’s horrifying hidden identity is revealed. What does this have to do with Lex Luthor, the Joker, Cheetah, and the most dangerous supervillains in the DC Universe’s plan to take down the Justice League?
This issue features the second of three interlocking covers by Justice League Unlimited artist Mora, along with variant covers by Lee Bermejo, Nathan Zeldi, Dan Jurgens, Felipe Massafera, and Moore.
Part 3 of the event will be published in the April 30 issue of Batman/Superman: World’s Finest 2025 Annual. Screenplay by Wade, Christopher Cantwell, and Morgan Hampton, with art by Dan McDade and Clayton Henry.
The secret origins of the Legion of Doom are finally revealed, and DC’s worst supervillains set into motion a plan to destroy Batman, Superman, and the Justice League Unlimited.
