If you’ve been looking for a great deal on a tablet that’s perfect for streaming videos or reading, look no further. Ahead of October’s Prime Day, Amazon has reduced the price of the Fire HD 10 tablet by $65 to $75. This matches the lowest price to date for the tablet, which was confirmed during Prime Day in July.
The deal covers models with 32GB of storage and ads on the lock screen. Expanding storage is easy thanks to the microSD slot, but to get rid of lock screen ads you’ll need to buy a separate version ($90, but currently $65 off).

You probably won’t do as much creative work on your Fire HD tablet as you do on your iPad Pro. But if you want to relax and watch a show or read a Kindle book, Amazon’s tablets certainly come in handy. It features a 10.1-inch Full HD display and promises up to 13 hours of battery life. Amazon says it delivers 25% faster performance than previous models and comes with 3GB of storage.
You can use your tablet to stay in touch with family and friends using messaging apps, or make video calls using the 5MP front-facing camera. You can also use the stylus to sketch in various apps. Of course, there’s also integration with Alexa, allowing you to use your tablet to control smart-compatible home devices and get a live view of connected security cameras.
Notably, Amazon has not yet held its annual fall device event, so it is using its October Prime Day sale to get rid of its current device stock cheaply before announcing the upgraded model. This means that there is a possibility that there are. However, even if Amazon releases new tablets in the coming weeks, you’ll still have a solid device in your hands if you pick this up.
