Ahead of its April 9th release, Marvel Comics has released a preview of Amazing Spider-Man #1. A new era was headlined by Joe Kelly with artists Pepe Larraz and John Romita Jr.
“Spider-Man was probably the first Marvel comic I read as a kid,” Larraz shared. “It’s a privilege for me to be able to further develop this character as guided by Joe Kelly’s hands. I’m a huge fan of Joe’s writing, from the way he builds characters, his dialogue, his humor. , down to his sense of action. Joe is great at everything he does, but what’s most important to me is that his stories touch on important themes.”
So what is the new amazing Spider-Man era?
A new run finds the jobless Peter looking for gainful employment, but his job search is interrupted by a runaway rhino, which is just the tip of the sinister iceberg. What are the major spider villains working behind the scenes with other spider villains as weapons, including one we haven’t seen in over 7 years? ! Also, what’s Norman Osborn without goblins these days?

Someone has been multiplying his villains – making them meaner, more aggressive, more and more dangerous to everyone around them – and Spidey is next!
