Romance is in the air with a kiss bet, vol. 2 Two from the webtoon. Created by Ingrid Ochoa, the charming adult young adult comic sees Sarahlin seeking her first kiss.

The second physical volume in the hit Webtoon series is now available at local bookstores. So, what you need to know about the latest entries in the fascinating series.

Previous stories

Kiss Bet, vol. 1, when she entered the second half of her senior year of high school, things were looking for Sarah. She has the support of her good friends and her father (self-proclaimed “cool” dad). But Sarah has a secret. She has never been kissed.

This is complicated when her best friend, Patrick, challenges her with a bet. He bets her $50 and that she won’t kiss a random boy at the subway station. She asks him to kiss, but that doesn’t happen, and instead the boy calls her a “fair guy.” And she owes Patrick $50 to add humiliation to her injuries.

Mathematics, on the other hand, is not easy for Sarah. Her teacher hopes to work with student tutor Oliver Yang to improve her skills. And she discovers that Oliver is a “subway boy” and lives from her across the hall! Worse, Patrick doesn’t stop teasing her about losing his bet. As if that wasn’t complicated enough, there’s also a cute new boy in the class, Joseph. And did I say Joe is Oliver’s brother?

But soon Sarah learns that juggling a romantically charged relationship with three different boys is a troublesome proposition she was thinking. For example, what would you do if you joined a newspaper club and partnered with both Oliver and Joe at a school festival?

Kiss Bet, vol. 2

Kiss Bet, vol. 2, Sarah is working on the fact that Oliver has identified her as the girl who tried to kiss him at the subway station. Meanwhile, she has to deal with her failure to complete Patrick’s homework after losing another bet on him, leading to Patrick’s outcome.

But Patrick is also dealing with his situation. Someone has filled his locker with romantic cards, chocolates, gifts… Who is his secret worshiper?

Things get even more complicated when Sarah fails her pre-test of calculus. With alienating Oliver, a decent tutor and having no luck with his unlucky cousin Vicki, Sarah has to find a way to fix his grades before it’s too late. When Joe realizes how upset Sarah is about the Grade, he offers to make her a tutor herself.

But naturally, Oliver is at home when he encounters a math session…and despite trying to hide it, he discovers Sarah’s bad test grade. How does Sarah sort her relationship drama? Can she manage to improve her math grades? And our heroes survive all the biggest challenges: high school?

Available now

Kiss Bet, vol. 2 is available at local bookstores. Volume 2 collects episodes 19-36 of the Webtoon series, until the end of the first season. Now is the time to catch up (or revisit) your kiss bet!
