Comic-Con International: Ahead of its appearance at San Diego 2025, Upstart Publisher Alien Books revealed its 2026 lineup and new logo. Readers are looking forward to more comic titles and previously announced titles, including Valiant Beyond. SDCC participants looking for sneak peaks can grab a free brave edition that surpasses the preview edition at IDW Publishing booth #2729 during the convention (while supply continues).

“It’s been a very busy year with this Alien book,” said director and editor-in-chief Matthias Timart. “From our new partnership with IDW Publishing to launching multiple successful crowdfunding projects on Kickstarter, teaming up with Zorro Productions and continuing to revitalize Valiant Comics with DMG Entertainment, we reach more readers than ever before.

Following the success of the Kickstarter Campaign for Me, Dragon. The art of Eduardo Risso. Zorro Remastered Edition, and Harbinger Classic Omnibus’ current campaign, Alien’s next brave comic crowdfunding project is Xo Manowar: Black, White & Gold. The Biketromatic Anthology series stars Dasia’s Arik and will be offered as an exclusive hardcover via Kickstarter. Cintarocago, Mark Guggenheim, Kevin Roditeri, Sylvain Lamberg, Roberto Meri, Adriano Barone, Lucabréno, Mike Baron, Alex Baron, Rex Baron, Roberto Meri, Adriano Barone, Dan Abnett, Peter Milligan, Louis Suzard, Derek Fridorf, Azi Ampadu and more. The add-ons include Xo Manowar #0 Artist’s Edition and Xo Manowar #1 Fascimile Edition. The project is expected to be released later this year.

Timarchi appears in the logo of the new alien book and Shadowman’s Tales and Tales issues beyond the series that begins in August, saying, “I’m a huge X-Files fan and the glitchy VHS aesthetic of the ’80s and ’90s. This is a desire to stick out into the sea of overly refined, sterile logos that have been everywhere these days.”

In 2026, Alien Books will launch a new slate crowdfunding project and release a new Manga series. Badducks, vol. 1Mangaka Trumon Takeda has launched a four-volume fantasy manga series with sci-fi elements and will debut next fall. The story follows Morgan Gray, a man who sold his organs to pay off his debts. Now he is a cyborg enslaved by the mob, but when he meets a woman named Lisa, the pair tries to escape, but not alone. They have stolen suitcases full of money and babies, which greatly complicates the matter.

“We are pleased to bring Mangaka Trimon Takeda’s exceptional Badax series to a global audience,” Timarki said. “We are always looking for new titles for Creators On The Rise and Badducks, which fits the bill.

Badducks, vol. 1 will be available directly through Penguin Random House and through the book market as part of an alien publication partnership with IDW.

Also, in 2026, Alien Books will launch a series of crowdfunding campaigns and licensed titles. Also restart the title. Timarki also teased a crossover project in which brave flagship characters are sandwiched against iconic video game fighters.

“I’m getting into trouble, if I can’t say anything else about this crossover,” joked Timarki. “It’s very unexpected, but for those who grew up as a fan of comics and video games in the 1990s, we can see these two brands clash.”

Keep an eye out for more coverage from SDCC ’25.
