DC will open kickoff in October and will not draw out punches this fall with DC Ko, a massive new comic book event for Powerhouse Writers Joshua Williamson and Scott Snyder. Imagine a high-stakes space tournament where heroes and villains are thrown into gladiator-like battles beyond the huge, Earth-registered arena, with each level cruel and iconic than the last level. the goal? It challenges the divine dark seid and produces enough omega energy to crown the new king Omega.
DC KO will attack 36 fighters each other in an unbanned bracket-style showdown, spanning five core issues where DC KOs do not let 36 fighters face each other. Expect legendary battles, shocking underdog rises, and catastrophic results. Snyder will lead the main series along with artist Jabi Fernandez, while Williamson will adjust for rippling one-shots and tying ins throughout the titles, including Titan, Flash, Superman and Unlimited Justice League.
“This is the ultimate battle night for the DCU,” Snyder said. “You’re either… or you’re outside,” Williamson said, “Darkseid has destroyed the future. The only chance for the Heroes is to fight for the present.”
Important titles for the DC KO event:
DC KO #1 (October 8th) – Release of the main series by Snyder & Fernández. Explosive variant covers of Jim Lee, Danmora, Mike Delmund, Frank Chou, Daniel Warren Johnson, Scott Cobrish, Ben Oliver, and Mark Spears.
Justice League: Omega Law #1 (October 1) – Art and Written by Williamson by Yasmin Putri. Event prologue by Williamson & Yasmine Putri, the Time Trapper moves desperately to save the timeline.
Superman #31 (October 22) – Written by Williamson and with interior decorations by guest artist Eddie Burrows. Clark and Allies are searching for the mysterious “Heart of Apocolip,” a force tied to his Crypton roots.
Emotional core? Superman.
Metal focused on Wonder Woman’s Batman and Death Metal, while DC KO is built around Superman’s personal calculations.

Fans participating in SDCC 2025 will be able to get the exclusive first look of DC KO in their next panel, DC, on Thursday, July 24th at 11:30am (6DE). The limited edition Ashkan with a foil cover will also be available at the DC booth, but consumables will be at the end.
