This fall, Ahoy Comics will be offering a heartfelt, twisted sci-fi adventure with Death Dog, the second-issue comedy series of writer Bryce Ingman (My Bad) and artist Alan Robinson (New Fantastic Four). The 32-page debut issue attacked the comic shop on November 5th, 2025, featuring the main Robinson cover and the Shannon Wheeler variant.

Set in the US, where most children work instead of going to school, the story follows 13-year-old Wyatt, who is mistakenly accused of being shoplifted by a deadly robot dog. His luck changes when the strange event turns one of these relentless machines into a friendly, violently protected Robodog.

“Robot dogs sneak up on me,” admits Ingman. “But I wanted to turn that fear into something good. It’s about a soulless machine becoming a soulful hero. With Alan’s brilliant art, we pulled it apart.

Robinson said, “I learned to love and fear dogs. Especially robot dogs! This was a lot of fun drawing. Working with Ahoy has always been a joy.”

Ahoy Editor-in-Chief Tom Peyer calls the book soulful and funny, citing Captain Beef Heart.

Death Dog #1 will arrive at the store on November 5th.
