Absurd Romance Sim, Dating All! Postponed to Valentine’s Day 2025

If you’re stuck in the world, you’ll have to wait a little longer until you get the video game that will make your ultimate wish come true. Date Everything!, the sassy and quirky romantic sim developed by Team17 and Sassy Chap Games, will no longer be available on October 24th, as originally announced. On Friday, the team pushed back the game’s release date to Valentine’s Day in 2025.

At the game design level, date everything! appears to be a simple dating simulator with dialogue branches and voiced characters. What makes this work stand out is its fun and silly setting. Thanks to the magic glasses known as “Dateviator” you can know the date of everything in your house.

Each dateable object has a distinct personality and branching story. Your romantic potential includes a laundry basket (a fiery “Harper”), a vacuum cleaner (a burly “Hoob”), and your overbearing (and shirtless) friend who prefers to be known simply as “Doug.” Contains a sense of existential dread. While it may not seem very appealing for a romantic date, it may be a winner against today’s dating apps, which often involve microtransactions.

Depending on your choice of dialogue branches, each humanized object can be love, friend, or hate. The game’s press release promises that you’ll choose wisely between the lamp and the towel dressed as Liberace, as each outcome affects a “critical path that ties everything together.”

Date everything! will be released on Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on February 14, 2025.
