DC announced today that it will resume printing the latest sold-out Batman issues, including the amazing 10th printing of Absolute Batman #1 by Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta. In addition to Absolute Batman #1 and Absolute Batman 2025 Annual #1, DC will be releasing reprints of four DC KO tie-ins, including the Dark Knight-centric Nightfight #1.
The critically acclaimed Absolute Batman not only consistently sells out, but also helped kickstart DC’s alternate timeline, the Absolute Universe. The Absolute Universe is a darker, more intense take on the flagship superhero from a world where Darkseid, rather than Superman, is the cornerstone of DC’s mythology.
Other reprints announced today include second printings of The Flash #26, Superman #31, and Justice League Unlimited #12.
Absolute Batman 2025 Annual #1, currently selling for over $20 on eBay, is a sold-out issue that features a 30-page lead story written and drawn by Daniel Warren Johnson with a story by James Harren and Meredith McClaren, and will return to comic shops with a second printing on January 21st.
The second printing of this issue includes a main self-cover that reprints the color-changed logo on the original main cover by Daniel Warren Johnson & Mike Spicer (cover price $5.99), an orderable foil variant cover version of the original main cover by Johnson & Spicer ($8.99), an orderable cardstock variant cover featuring a new image by Johnson ($5.99), and an orderable foil variant cover version of Johnson’s original main cover ($5.99) is provided. New cover ($8.99).
The 10th printing of Absolute Batman #1 comes with a main self-cover ($4.99) that reappears with a recolored logo on Dragotta and Frank Martin’s Absolute Batman #1 main cover. A new open-to-order cardstock variant cover by InHyuk Lee ($5.99) and an open-to-order foil variant cover version of Lee’s new cover ($7.99).
DC KO: Nightfight #1, Justice League Unlimited #12, Superman #31, and The Flash #26 (all important issues in the DC KO story) will each return to stores in second printings on February 4th. Each of these second printings features the original main cover of the respective issue, with a recolored logo, all by Dan Mora. DC KO: Knightfight #1 2nd printing, Justice League Unlimited #12 2nd printing, and The Flash #26 2nd printing all have a cover price of $3.99, and Superman #31 2nd printing has a cover price of $4.99.
