Abrams Comic Arts presents “Aristotle: A Graphic Biography”!Not much is known about Aristotle’s life. Aristotle was a polymath whose life work is now the cultural foundation of modern philosophy. Award-winning artist Alekos Papadatos (Logicomix) and author Tassos Apostolidis have teamed up to follow a long trail of clues to bring the great man and his philosophy to life.

Read more from the publisher:

The son of a famous Macedonian physician, Aristotle continued his studies in Athens and became one of Plato’s favorite students. A great scholar, he also served as personal tutor to Alexander the Great, Ptolemy, and Cassander. Although for many it would be the high point of his career, Aristotle went on to found his own school, the Lyceum. There he passes on his knowledge and passion to students who want to embark on an intellectual and philosophical journey.

Most of Aristotle’s surviving works are known as teaching aids for his many students. The fact that many of these, even though they were never intended for publication, had a profound influence on all schools of Western thought only adds to Aristotle’s legacy. With passion and care, Papadatos and Apostolidis have faithfully reconstructed his life story in a vivid graphic novel.

The novel has been published in France, Belgium, Greece, Germany, Portugal, China, Turkey, and South Korea, and now Abrams Comic Arts is releasing 216 hardcover copies of the comic in local bookstores on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. Scheduled to be published in the shop on October 9, 2024.
