Creators Dan Santat (all the Hulks feel), Dean Hale (Iron Man: Something Strange!), Chip Kid (The Avengers of Truthful Trap, Spider-Man: Panels), and Michael Cho (The Avengers of Truthful Trap!) explore the history of Marvel’s history. PW Book Buzz: New Imprints and India

Meg Lemke, a comic and graphic novel review editor for Publishers Weekly, hosts editorial leadership for recently launched imprints and start-up companies, including Kaitlin Ketchum (Ten Speed Graphic), Whitney Leopard (Ink Pop), Joseph Montagne (Kana), Mark Siegel (23rd St. Books), and Dagen Walker (Lab Press). Investing in diverse genre titles, literary graphic novels and non-fiction, pop comics and comics, these outlets expand the scope of promising and established cartoonists for the expansion of their readership. How do they thrive in a market with ever-changing distribution and economics? Each editor will discuss missions and models and spotlight their favorite titles.
Abrams Comicarts: Redefining Graphic Storytelling

Historical fiction and non-fiction comics help us understand the past and present moments by shedding light on the fallout of World War II, the rise of fascism and communism, the challenges faced by the civil rights movement, or the work of groundbreaking newspaper cartoonists. Mimi Pond (Do Admit: The Mitford Sisters and Me), Eddie Campbell (Kate Carew: America’s first great female cartoonist), and Nate Powell (Fall Sul, Laill stuel spen, save it for for lunch, run weekly) talk about the tedious and engaging process of breathing the life of the past for today’s readers.

Doug Chiang: Conversation about Star Wars and beyond

Doug Chiang (Senior Vice President and Executive Design Director, Lucasfilm) will host a Fireside Chat to discuss his career as a film designer and share insights into Star Wars work. Chen speaks openly about his evolution into becoming a better artist, selling a special preview of his upcoming two volumes, 800 pages, a book on Deluxe Slip Case, Daguchi An: The Cinema Legacy (Volume I) and Star Wars Legacy (Volume 2) in December 2025 from Abrams’ book. These books feature over 2,300 drawings and paintings. John Romulo (Lucasfilm’s digital asset coordinator) eases conversations.

Godzilla’s 70 Years

To celebrate Godzilla’s 70th anniversary, they share photos and stories from Abrams, Godzilla: The First 70 Years of New Books, together with Steve Rifle and Ed Godzhewski. This book explores all aspects of the creation, design and evolution of King of the Monsters, a film and television series from Toho Studios from 1954 to the present. The presentation, hosted by Aaron John Gregory (Godzilla Product Development Manager, Toho International), includes exclusive behind the scenes photos, production materials, posters and more.
Essential Peanuts by Charles M. Schultz: The Best Comic Strip of All Time

A renowned panel of contributors to Essential Peanuts (October 2025, Abrams Comicarts) offers a heartfelt, insightful conversation about Charles M. Schultz’s legacy. Panelists include Mark Evannier (author of Essential Peanuts), Chipkid (graphic designer and writer), Paige Braddock (Emeritus, Creative Director of Charles M. Schultz Creative Associates) and Alexis E. Fajardo (editor, publishing and experience of Charles M. Schultz Creative Associates). Known for his bold book design and writing, Kid and Cho are celebrated with his vintage-inspired art and share insights into their creative process, inspiration and the joys that bring this story to life. They also look back on their long and renowned careers, sharing memorable anecdotes and morals from decades in the comic and publishing industry.
