2000AD continues to publish new Judge Dredd collection editions with “Judge Dredd: Rend and Tear with Tooth and Claw.” This 128-page collection includes Rend & Tear with Tooth & Claw and Tunnels, written by Rob Williams and illustrated by RM Guera.
In “Rend and Tear with Tooth and Claw,” Judge Dredd and a small team find themselves stranded in the frozen North Redlands. There is no way to get help and the nearest city is 100 miles away. So Dredd and Cadet Moon must brave the elements and join forces with unlikely allies to make it out of the frozen forest alive
“RM Guerra is a modern master of comic book art, as anyone who has read his work in Sculpted knows,” Williams said of his collaborator. “Having him write not one but two Judge Dredd features was a real coup. We feel very fortunate to be able to collaborate with him on two stories with a common thematic spine that strips away the lore of the world of Dredd and delves into the primal mind of the man beneath the helmet.”
Lend and Tear with Tooth and Claw Dredd finds himself stranded with a small team after a jet crashes in the middle of a snowy wasteland in the heart of Northern Rudland. With your team dwindling and resources running low, you must team up with newcomer Cadet Moon if you want to escape back to Mega City 1. But the wilderness was unforgiving, and the bloody remains caught the attention of Alpha Hunters. It’s a dreadful bloodthirsty giant bear!
Tunnels then sets Dredd in the role of a hunter and engages him in a desperate search to bring down the killer. Tracking his quarry to Ciudad Barranquilla, a futuristic Rio, Dredd must navigate not only the concrete jungle of the dystopian city, but also the literal jungle surrounding the city, in order to defeat his target and defeat justice once and for all!
