Kermit hasn’t woken up yet, and given how much chaos is unfolding, the show may not continue. Meanwhile, Kermit’s hard-boiled fantasy may be coming to an end, but he can’t seem to find his missing heir, even though she’s standing right in front of him. Will he be able to solve the case, return to reality, and save the Muppet Show in time?
This final issue wraps things up nicely, with Kermit’s alter ego Flip Minnow being directly given all the information he needs to finally become a hero.
The structured story also has a cute little epilogue, and writer/artist Roger Langridge brings his trademark charm and flair to the visuals and script.
Will we ever see a sequel to this charming, low-stakes Muppet detective story? It’s certainly refreshing to read something that doesn’t rely on huge stakes or life-or-death outcomes, and I certainly wouldn’t mind spending more time with Flip Minnow and his familiar characters.
