Blessed as a one-hit wonder decades ago, Bud is recruited to save the world by a group made up of people who appear in famous song lyrics, including Ruby Tuesday, Eleanor Rigby, and Major Tom. All he has to do is write one more song, but can lightning strike twice in time and save everything we know from a malevolent force?
This is a bit of a strange problem. Artist Martin Morazzo and colorist Chris O’Halloran have nailed it with stunningly surreal visuals, but the story of W. Maxwell Prince doesn’t seem to be going anywhere.
The song quotes feel a bit forced and don’t always work that well. And while the story’s message of chasing fleeting success and glory that you may never see again is quite interesting, by the ending it feels like it’s not really going anywhere.
But it’s still quite a journey, and despite being a bit of a disappointment, even at this early stage in the series, you can feel Prince, Morazzo, and O’Halloran pushing the boundaries of what the Ice Cream Man is and what it can be.
Hello! I’m Jason. I write articles for midlifegamergeek.com every day. If you’re interested in supporting original, regularly published, human-generated content (that’s never been plagiarized or copied through the efforts of other writers), please help us keep this site running by making a donation.
Not only do I not earn any money from my writing here (though I do earn a small commission from affiliate links posted on my page, but as an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases from these links), my work sometimes seems to be stolen and repurposed by lazy, morally bankrupt idiots.
There’s no pressure, of course, but we really appreciate any support you can provide. You can easily support us through Ko-Fi.com/geekmid or the PayPal link.
Thank you very much for your donation. I would also like to thank you for taking the time to read my article. Remember: This entire article was written by Jason Brown and published on midlifegamergeek.com. Take that, Skynet!

All donations are gratefully received and will not only help me keep the lights on here, but will also help keep my writing dreams alive. However, please understand that there is no pressure. I hope you enjoy reading my article.
