In time for NYCC, ONI has debuted a new logo and icon for the book. The new look first appears in November’s Crownsville #1, the supernatural tale of writer Rodney Burns and artist Elia Bonetti.
The new logo was designed by the extremely talented Patrick Clotty. Patrick Clotty recently won the Eisner and the Apple Award, nominated for his work in the Scott Pilgrim 20th Anniversary Hardcover Box Set.

The new logo has a strong look and follows in the footsteps of two previous logos, as seen in this impressive GIF. The original logo was designed by Watchman’s award-winning co-creator Dave “Watchmen” Gibbons, and sets the tone of early Oni classics like Clarks. The second ONI Press logo appeared in 2012 and was designed by art director Keith A. Wood, and Karenvan & Brian Hart’s Tales branded the sixth gun-like story through Christopher Cantwell and Tyler Crook’s Alcatraz.
The brand unfolded in weekly interviews with the publisher with Chief Sierra Hahn Hunter Golinson and editors, covering reboots of EC comics and things like embracing web comics.
Since Golinson and Hearn were at the helm of Oni, the press has been working to build a stronger presence directly in the market through the publication of a single issue, with 113 issues set to be published in 2025. Hearn was previously the executive editor of the boom, so both Hearn and Golinson have a direct background in the market! The studio where Golinson was the vice president of business development.
Beyond a new focus on direct markets, ONI has adapted to the current changes in the comics market by hosting multiple graphic novel crowdfunding campaigns, immersing the toes in the world of web comics and publishing prints of the popular Webtoons Subzero (Junepurrr) and Lysandra Vuong’s Covenant (Lysandra Vuong).
The link is much more interesting chat, but I’m back to the new logo! In a statement accompanying the logo, David Steward II, chairman of Oni-Lion Forge Publishing Group and CEO of Polarity, is not Oni’s parent company.
As Hahn pointed out, Oni actually cooks a lot and says, “We plot and plan the next major wave of comics and graphic novels owned by creators with familiar faces and talented talents.

In addition to the “standard logo” mentioned above, there is also an “expanded icon logo” with creatures, which is likely to be suitable for even more advanced products.
