It’s a bold new era for IDW’s half-shell heroes, including his own comic series, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Shredder-headlined Terrapin’s perennial enemy. TMNT: Shredder, written by Dan Watters (Lucifer) as art by Michel Bandini (Batman incorporated), follows Orok Saki as he begins to rebuild power in the Underworld of New York criminals, although this time without the support of the Foot Clan.
For TMNT: Shredder #2 will be drawing part of the problem next month with artist Sidcotein along with Bandini. Beat is proud to have Kotain’s ink interior page drawn by Kotain available on October 15th, 2025 from TMNT: Shredder #2 ahead of the pre-order deadline this Monday.
Current TMNT Book fans are likely to know that in recent years Shredder has become a TMNT alliance supporting them against the Rat King during the events of the Armageddon Games event. At the end of the storyline, Shredder is seen living on the planet Hirobiru in Dimension Z to continue watching over Madame Nuru’s cousin Noi Tai Dal. The situation of Shredder’s return to Earth is not fully revealed in the first issue of the new series. If you’re lucky, these details will be explored on the line. In the meantime, readers can enjoy returning to their homes of Earth and adjusting to life.
Check out our interior page with solicitation information and cover A from Mateus Santolocuo, which also has a new shredder design.
A stunning new series continues! After the dangerously-footed clan soldier becomes cheated, Shredder descends into the underworld of New York and meets the secret criminal master who has achieved Shredder’s long mythical status. However, the mystical boss believes there is little reason to help the shredder. A big mistake…
