Hauden said:
“Between the Deathgasm and the events of its sequel, there was a story I needed to tell. The story was so visually epic and aggressive that I couldn’t film it without watering it. Instead, it became a Deathgasm. The Church of the Metals!”
Deathgasm 1.5: The director’s cut is 80 pages long and features works by series creator Howden, as well as author Peter Bune (Squatch Watch), Artist Industrias Lamonicana (Fierro), Colorist Zac Atkinson (Star Trek), and Letter Jeremiah Lambert (Transformers). The book also features various hardcover editions with cover art from authors Michael Schwartz (armor) and Joshua Viola (True followers), Skinner’s cover art (Skincrawl magazine), Preston Acevedo (Exiles) and Matthew Terrien (Becky’s Wrath).
The project will be Bot Media’s first since taking ownership of the UK-based game development studio Freak Zone Games. Co-founded by bestselling author Joshu A Viola and acclaimed multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and producer Clayton (known for his projects’ Seldwell and Scandaloid), this strategic move brings the Freak Zone Game founded by Sam Beddoes, expanding the original video game under Bitbot Umbrella. Beddoes will continue to lead Freakzone’s game design efforts, and Bit Bot assumes responsibility for publishing.
Joshua Viola said this:
“We are excited to welcome Freak Zone games to the Bitbot family. After working with Sam on the Rocky Horror Show video games, we realized that Sam’s talent and creative vision are perfectly aligned with his goals to develop a groundbreaking storytelling experience.
Meanwhile, Clayton added:
“The collaboration with Sam and Freakzone is an exciting step in our mission to combine compelling storytelling, interactive design and immersive soundscapes into one powerful multimedia experience.”
In Deathgasm video games, black hymns are unleashed, and hell is bleeding in reality. Fans can play as Brody, Zach, or Medina and fight through nine brutal and challenging levels. Inspired by Dante’s Inferno, it rivals the devil’s fear and glorious indecent humor. This game presents the unfortunate metal heads of fans, as they have never seen before.
Jason Howden said this about the game:
“We crank the volume to 11 and unleashed the brutal metal chaos with hellish minions. The game is packed with gore, humor and demonic madness that are not included in the film.”
The Kickstarter campaign also offers a variety of exclusive rewards, including the high-end latex masks of Main Demon villains Aeloth, and Brodie and Zakk sports signature corpse paint. Backer will also get a Blu-ray signed to a limited edition of the upcoming sequel film, with vinyl and cassette editions of the video game soundtrack composed by Sam Beddoes, as well as a limited edition of the upcoming sequel film, featuring exclusive slipcase artwork. Additional perks include original artwork, apparel and ultimate prizes. This is a unique, handmade custom guitar, approved by Devil himself and signed by designer Preston Acevedo.
