The ancient white supremacists have nearly everything they need to carry out their insidious plans, but they’re not counting on Alex Campbell’s tenacity.
Alex is about to embark on quite a journey that will set up some very exciting developments for the future of the Henry Cheburne and Stephen Baskerville series.
As with the first two volumes (each a collection of the first two chapters of the first volume of the Panharmonion Chronicles), the story in this third volume is very dense, covering different eras and eras. So much is happening through it. historical place.
London continues to be so vividly recreated, and the same sense of time and place is conveyed throughout the stories so far.
There are far more references to music in this particular part of the story, including bands, songs, and lyrics, perhaps because the role of music has become more integral to the experiments of the evil organization that Alex constantly clashes with. It looked like it was scattered. Some felt a little awkward or out of place, but then again, given the role music plays in terms of the theory behind the science of storytelling, it makes sense that they’re there.
This time, I was able to understand the story without being as confused as the previous volume. There’s still a lot going on, and a lot of expository and expository dialogue, but it all builds well to a conclusion that puts Alex in a completely different light (with a few horror-tinged moments along the way) ).
I’m really impressed with this whole series and I’m so happy to read such a unique story that I’ve never come across before.
